More Sound Absorbing Wall Solutions:
Acoustic 3D & Textured Panels
Wall mounted acoustic panels offer effective sound absorption while also enhancing the design aspect of any room. With a range of sizes, shapes and colours available, you can achieve your acoustic goals while also complementing the design of your workplace. These panels are particularly popular in open plan offices and meeting rooms where a comfortable acoustic atmosphere is priority.
Acoustic Wall Coverings
Are you looking to get more from your wall paper? Acoustic Wall coverings are applied like wall paper but are designed to absorb noise. This option is perfect for workplaces where wall mounted options aren’t suitable, or where a subtle design wants to be maintained.
Acoustic Preserved Moss Pictures
Preserved moss pictures not only introduce a unique design feature to your workplace, they can also help you achieve your acoustic goals! Studies suggest that plants (also known as Biophilic features) can help improve mental health and concentration. This, combined with acoustic benefits, offers a fantastic way to create an enjoyable atmosphere.
Acoustic Combinable Wall Panels
Combinable Wall Panels feature a mix of biophilic (plant) panels and cork panels. The combination of sound absorbing materials creates a stunning decorative feature that brings unique personality to your walls while also offering sound absorbing properties.
The key benefits of Acoustic Absorption are:
- Reduces unwanted background noise
- Clarifies wanted noise such as general speech and presentations
- Improved concentration levels as there are less noise distractions
- Creates a comfortable work atmosphere
How do we measure Sound Absorption?
Sound Absorption Coefficient Alpha (αw)
This rating has a value between 0 and 1.00. Zero represents no absorption and 1.00 represents total absorption. Sometimes this value will be presented on a product datasheet simply as its αw value e.g αw = 0.8
However, this value is often referenced against a class value, classifying product performance as a letter from A – E (A being the best absorption). The diagram below shows how these ratings interact with one another:
Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC)
You might also see an NRC value associated with Sound Absorbing products. This is an average rating of how much sound an acoustic product can absorb.
NRC is measured on a scale that ranges from 0 – 1 (zero being no sound absorption and 1 being the maximum absorption).
