Fire Batts and Boards work by fitting closely around pipes and services to prevent the spread of smoke and fire through small gaps. These fire rated hatches help to maintain the effectiveness of fire rated walls where openings are formed to accommodate systems and building services, and in some cases help to maintain acoustic performance.
For larger voids, Firestop Slabs are multi functional, providing both fire resistance and acoustic insulation, while Linear Joint Seal can be used for small gaps, for example, where masonry walls finish below a suspended ceiling height.
For hidden areas, Fire Barriers are an effective system to stop the spread of smoke and fire, made from totally non-combustible fibreglass.
