Fire Resistant Adhesive
During construction, it is important to maintain the fire rating across all materials. For example, it is counterproductive to install a fire rated product with a flammable adhesive as this would weaken the fire rating of the structure. At Workplace Interior Shop, we stock High Temperature adhesives that are designed to remain flexible at room temperatures and stable at elevated temperatures. We also supply sealants which are suitable for filling small gaps such as service penetrations.

How do High Temperature Adhesives Work?
When exposed to temperatures above 800C, they form a solid ceramic mass that is resistant to thermal shock. High temperature adhesives can be used for both adhering surfaces and filling small holes and gaps around pipes.
How do High Temperature Sealants Work?
- Acoustic Intumescent Sealant. Acoustic Intumescent Sealant has been designed to seal joints and service gaps in compartment walls and penetration seals, ensuring your property is adequately protected. In addition to fire protection, Acoustic Intumescent Sealant provides excellent acoustic performance by sealing linear gaps.
- High Expansion Sealant. An easy to use sealant, this product is ideal for protecting both combustible and non-combustible pipes, among other permanent services. Once the sealant reaches temperatures of 135°C and above, it will expand and close any voids formed, to stop the passage of smoke and fire.
- Fire Rated Silicone Sealant. Fire Rated Silicone Sealant provides an effective solution to combine joints together with a high movement capability. Additionally, it provides up to 4 hours of fire protection in all joints up to 40mm.
