The process can be simplified into the following steps, however, we recommend you refer to the installation process advised on your product datasheet. For more information, you can also read our guide on how to lay vinyl flooring:
- Install Any Insulation
Before you begin fitting your vinyl flooring, ensure you have measured and fitted any insulation that you wish to put down first.
- Take Accurate Measurements
The next step is to measure your vinyl flooring roll. We recommend cutting this slightly bigger than you need.
- Prepare Floor Surface
You will need to ensure the underlayer of your floor is smooth and free from dust and debris. This will improve the quality of the finish once your vinyl flooring is fully fitted.
- Install Adhesive and Vinyl Flooring
Apply the adhesive and place the vinyl sheet floor on top. When lying the vinyl floor rolls, ensure that there are no creases or wrinkles on the flooring surface and allow the floor to dry completely before you start using it.
Vinyl Flooring Aftercare and Service
One of the many reasons you see sheet vinyl flooring UK wide is that it’s incredibly easy to clean. To ensure your vinyl flooring rolls stay pristine, it’s recommended that you use a microfibre cloth, warm water and mild detergent. To remove any scuff marks or dirt spots, simply scrub them with the microfibre cloth that’s been dipped in the water and detergent. Then, use a mop to clean the entire surface. Your vinyl floor coverings will soon be spotless, looking as good as they did the day they were installed!

What’s the difference between vinyl flooring and laminate flooring?
Vinyl and laminate are two popular flooring options. Some of the key differences between them include:
Vinyl Flooring Laminate Flooring Material Most vinyl flooring is made using PVC (polyvinyl chloride) which provides qualities such as flexibility, durability and colour. Most laminate flooring is made using a high-density fiberboard (HDF) core and a photographic layer that’s covered with a protective layer of melamine resin. Durability Vinyl flooring is known for its impressive durability. It’s therefore popular in high traffic areas such as offices and schools. Whilst laminate flooring is also durable. When compared to vinyl alternatives, it’s more susceptible to scratches and other wear and tear. Appearance We offer vinyl flooring in a wide variety of patterns and colours. These closely imitate natural materials such as wood or stone, giving a luxurious feel to your flooring. Similarly, laminate flooring is also available in different patterns and colours that accurately depict natural materials like wood and stone. Water Resistance In general, vinyl flooring offers better water resistance. Certain luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) are perfectly suited to tolerate high moisture environments. By comparison, laminate flooring is not as water resistant as vinyl and you might experience warping or stains if used in high moisture environments.
