What is walling board?

A walling board, commonly referred to as plasterboard, is a construction material used for dry lining walls. It consists of an inner layer of gypsum sandwiched between two outer layers of lining paper. This design allows for easy installation and provides a smooth surface that can be customised to suit various decorative needs. Walling boards are a preferred choice for many because they offer a quicker and more cost-effective alternative to traditional wet plastering methods. Once in place, they can be painted, wallpapered or even left with a plain finish, depending on the desired look.
