Ablative fire batts are pre-coated insulation that can provide spaces with advanced acoustic qualities, as well as fire protection. Typically, they are made using mineral wool insulation, coated in ablative liquid.

Whilst there are many applications of ablative fire batts, they are a popular acoustic and fire rated solution for walls, floors, multi-service penetrations, blank seals and more. When installed, they prevent the spread of flames and smoke, but retain heat and sound within a room.
