Ablative liquid coatings are designed to be sprayed or brushed over other ablative fire protection. They can, however, also be used on other fire rated applications to form an effective seal for additional safety. When this coating comes into contact with heat from a fire, it releases a water vapour that cools its surface. Combined with the fire protection it’s applied to, the fire is then prevented from spreading for a period of time.
There are many reasons to select ablative liquid as a form of fire protection:
- Appearance – Our range of ablative liquid comes in a smooth white finish.
- Durability – Once applied, the fire rated coating can offer durability for up to 15 years.
- Acoustics – When used to create a protective seal, the coating can also provide a degree of acoustic protection as sound is prevented from travelling through the sealed gap.
- Maintenance – Ablative liquid requires no ancillaries, making it a cost-effective solution to protect your space in the event of a fire.
