The main component of plasterboard is gypsum; a mineral that’s also used in traditional plaster. Gypsum is sandwiched between layers of paper or card, and added materials such as glass wool, foam or plastics can be incorporated to enhance the board’s properties.

The boards are available in various sizes, including standard-sized plasterboard sheets that can be easily fixed to walls. If you only require a small plasterboard piece, it can be conveniently cut to size. This flexibility makes it the ideal option for projects of all sizes.
