It’s important to note that plasterboard for bathrooms is water-resistant, but not waterproof. The plasterboard used for a bathroom or other humid spaces can cope with the moisture in the atmosphere and light saturation, preventing it from penetrating the surface of the plasterboard. With that said, prolonged exposure to wet conditions can see the plasterboard integrity deteriorate, so we recommend keeping it as dry as possible.
