In general, there are two types of studs that can be used in a stud and track partition: C studs and I studs.

• C Studs – C studs offer a standard level of vertical support to your partition system. They’re available in a variety of widths, lengths and gauges depending on your bespoke project requirements.
• I Studs – Metal I studs are designed to be installed in taller partitioning systems. Their purpose is to provide additional strength and impact resistance to a more vulnerable structure. They can also be used to increase the height of your partition without increasing the width.
