What sealant can withstand heat?

Within certain construction projects, services like pipework can penetrate through a structure, leaving small gaps surrounding it where smoke and flames from a fire could potentially spread. To combat this, you might need to consider a fire rated sealant that can withstand high temperatures.

We provide a variety of high temperature adhesives and sealants to provide effective fire protection within your space.

Acoustic Intumescent Sealants

Intumescent sealants can help prevent the spread of fire, whilst also providing an acoustic element by blocking noise from also passing through this joint.

High Expansion Sealant

High expansion sealants are designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 135°C and are compatible with both combustible and non-combustible pipework.  In the event of a fire, the sealant expands to close any voids formed and prevent flames and smoke from spreading.

Fire Rated Silicone Sealant

Fire resistant silicone sealants combine joints together whilst allowing necessary flexibility. When applied, they can provide up to 4 hours of fire protection in joints of up to 40mm, depending on the product you select.
