Banded glass partitioning is a relatively new trend that has become popular in creative industries and trendy offices. An aluminium frame runs around the perimeter while UVPC bars intersect the glass, giving a framed finish throughout. This Shoreditch style provides an art deco style finish, complementing the building’s original features like brickwork, exposed ducts and pipework, timber beams and wooden floors. Black framing is the most popular option, but there are other colours available to compliment your workplace aesthetic. Available in standard glass options and acoustic glass, this elevated style choice still delivers functionally.
How is banded glass partitioning constructed?
Banded Glass Partitioning is constructed in the same way as frameless glass, with an aluminium head and base track in a range of colours (white/grey/SAA). Various door options are available, including full height doors, or standard height doors. (Note: Standard height doors tend to be used when higher acoustic ratings are needed). The main difference is, of course, the banded detail which creates the framing effect throughout the partitioning. Banded Glass Partitioning works best with Framed Glass Doors which complement the industrial style of the construction.
